Terms of Service
Short version: Daily Brief reads your connected email and calendar, read-only, to build your daily brief. It can't send, reply, delete, or change anything in your account. Daily Brief is a prioritization tool, not a replacement for checking anything urgent yourself — see Section 7. Pricing, if any, is governed by a separate agreement during the pilot; see Section 4.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Daily Brief is operated by Key True Consulting, LLC ("Daily Brief," "we," or "us"). By creating an account or using Daily Brief, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Daily Brief is a business tool. You must be at least 18 years old and connecting an email/calendar account you're authorized to use for business purposes to use the service.
2. The Service
Daily Brief reads a connected Gmail and Google Calendar account, read-only, and generates one prioritized daily brief with a checklist (done, snoozed, dismissed). Daily Brief cannot send, reply to, delete, forward, or otherwise modify anything in your connected account, and does not request write access. Daily Brief does not read attachments.
Features may evolve over time as we improve the service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We'll use reasonable efforts to give you advance notice of material changes, particularly changes that affect features you're relying on.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. Use a strong password and don't share your credentials.
Connecting your Google account authorizes Daily Brief to read your email and calendar as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the authority to connect this account and to have its contents — including information about other people that may appear in it — processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
To disconnect your account or delete your data, follow the steps described in our Privacy Policy, or contact us at support@keytrueconsulting.com.
4. Pricing & Billing
Daily Brief does not currently have public pricing. Access during the pilot is governed by a separate agreement between you and Key True Consulting, LLC. If and when Daily Brief introduces paid subscriptions, we will present the material terms — price, billing cycle, renewal terms, and cancellation information — clearly before you're charged, and these Terms will be updated to reflect the actual billing model in effect at that time.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
- Connect an account you are not authorized to connect, or on behalf of a business you don't have authority to represent.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the service in unauthorized ways.
- Use automated systems to access the service beyond normal use.
- Impersonate another person or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or related systems, bypass security or access restrictions, or upload, transmit, or introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of your email and calendar content, and of any feedback or context information you provide to Daily Brief. You represent that you have the right to provide this information to us, including the right to have information about other people that may appear in your connected account processed as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you grant Daily Brief a limited license and right to access, process, and use this information to provide, maintain, and improve the service, subject to the data-minimization commitments in our Privacy Policy.
We may use aggregated or de-identified data that does not reasonably identify you or any other person to understand usage patterns and improve the service.
7. No Guarantee of Completeness
Daily Brief's brief and prioritization are generated by AI and are provided for convenience only. Daily Brief may contain errors, omit something that mattered, or misjudge priority — it is a tool to help you triage, not a guarantee that you've seen everything that needs your attention.
Daily Brief is not a substitute for checking your email and calendar directly, particularly for anything urgent, time-sensitive, or high-stakes. You are responsible for your own communications and for decisions made based on your brief. If something in your business depends on a message not being missed, don't rely on Daily Brief alone to catch it.
8. Third-party Services
Daily Brief connects with third-party services including Google (the source of your email and calendar data), Anthropic (our AI model provider), Clerk (authentication and secure token storage), Railway and Vercel (hosting), and an email delivery provider. Those third-party services may change, suspend, or discontinue their features independently of Daily Brief. Your use of Google's services is also governed by Google's own terms. Our Privacy Policy provides additional information about how data is processed in connection with the service. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or policies of third-party services.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time by disconnecting your account or requesting deletion, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or abuse the service. In most cases we'll give you advance notice, but we reserve the right to suspend or terminate immediately if necessary to protect the service, other users, or any connected third-party account.
10. Disclaimers & Liability
Daily Brief is provided "as is." We do not make warranties about the accuracy, reliability, availability, or uninterrupted operation of the service, or that the service will be error-free or will catch everything that needs your attention (see Section 7).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daily Brief will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including damages arising from a missed or mis-prioritized item. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to your use of Daily Brief will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which is $0 if you're using Daily Brief without a paid subscription).
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We'll notify you of material changes by email. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of updated terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
The version number and effective date at the top of this page identify exactly which version of these terms is currently live.

13. Ownership & Intellectual Property
Daily Brief and the service, including our software, design, text, graphics, logos, and other content, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, we reserve all rights. If you send us feedback or suggestions about Daily Brief, you agree that we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
15. Other Important Terms
You agree that we may provide notices and other communications to you electronically, including by email, through the service, or by posting them online, and that those communications satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent, but we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any separate pilot agreement presented to you, are the entire agreement between you and Daily Brief regarding the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive termination.
